Material Modeling

There is a variety of different material models available in LS-DYNA which allow for a wide range of applications of the code. Their knowledgable use is one of the key ingredients of a reliable finite element simulation.

The objective of this seminar is to give practical guidelines how to use the most commonly applied material formulations in LS-DYNA. Special focus is directed towards the specific input formats of various material models. In addition, some basic aspects of material modeling in the context of the theory of large deformations are highlighted. Small example problems will illustrate various application cases of the models implemented in LS-DYNA. Attendance of the seminar 'Introduction to LS-DYNA' is recommended.
