eta/DYNAFORM

DYNAFORM reduces the tryout time and costs that are associated with the tooling design and development cycle. Designed to be easy to use, DYNAFORM contains numerous automated functions to aid in even the most complex forming problems. Models can be either constructed or imported using DYNAFORM's powerful pre-processor. LS-DYNA, DYNAFORM's analysis engine, is an implicit and explicit solver used by the world's top aerospace, automobile and ordnance companies. DYNAFORM's post-processor contains a myriad of tools for interpreting the LS-DYNA analysis.

Now in its 10th year, DYNAFORM is a well established product with over 700 licenses worldwide. Its applications include: Tool Surface Modeling, Finite Element Mesh Generation, Draw Bead Force Prediction, Binder Wrap Analysis, Draw Die Simulation, Trimming Operations, Spring Back Simulation, Multiple Stage Tooling Simulation and more.

Features:
  • JOB SETUP Complete LS-DYNA interface for almost zero text editing in deep drawing applications.
  • TOOL MESHING DYNAFORM's automeshing function was specifically designed for catch tooling geometry. Saves 99% of time required for tool meshing.
  • DRAW BEAD DEFINITION Provides an LS-DYNA contact draw bead interface for the quick creation, modification, and assignment of draw beads. Includes Draw Bead Force Prediction as an alternative for nonlinear-spring draw bead definition.
  • TOOL DEFINITION Defines a part as a tool (such as a punch or die). Provides automatic positioning and interface definition for standard tooling setups.
  • AUTO INTERFACE DEFINITION Automatically defines the contact interface between the blank and tools.
  • AUTO-POSITIONING Positions the blank and tools for the draw die simulation.
  • INTERACTIVE TRIMMING Trims the blank mesh before the draw die or springback simulation.
  • TAILOR WELDED BLANK MODELING Simulates variable thickness forming.
