Simulation des Türverkleidungsverhaltens im Seitenaufprall am Beispiel eines aktuellen Fahrzeugprojekts bei der Adam Opel
The behaviour of the door trim is an important aspect of side impact crash, due to its proximity to the dummy. Therefore, its detailed modelling in a side impact CAE analysis is necessary to predict properly the risk of injury for the occupant and to improve unfavourable design proposals in an early product development stage. This paper is based on experience in the Opel Corsa project for door trim modelling in side impact analysis. Modelling is explained and discussed showing achievements as well as room for improvement.
