WEBinar: Masscaling and Subcycling
January 21, 10.00 - 11.00
This webinar is about how to make your explicit simuations faster using Masscaling and/or Subcycling. Masscaling is commonly used in explicit FE methods to increase the stable time step size. There are two major ways of using masscaling in LS-DYNA today, traditional- and selective masscaling. This webinar will show how to activate masscaling and discuss around the pros- and cons of the various methods.
In addition, Subcycling has been implemented as a method targeting models which requires a local high mesh resolution (thus small time step size) , e.g. for failure analysis, and still achieve reasonable cpu time.
