Optimierung mit LS-OPT hinsichtlich der Anforderung Fußgängerschutz

S. Niedermeyer, H. Bachem (CDH) In the automotive industry since some years more and more numerical tools for optimization are used to find optimized solutions for the highly nonlinear problems in the area of pedestrian safety. But not all optimization algorithms are suitable for this task. In this article different optimization algorithms are presented and evaluated with respect to usability for structural optimization for pedestrian head impact. In a first example it is shown which influence the chosen algorithm can have on the optimization result. Further, based upon this example the advantages and the availability of multidisciplinary and multicriterially optimization studies are shown. Additionally possibilities for the evaluation of the robustness of the optimization results are discussed.
