Kriterien zur Bewertung des Mappings von Umformauf Crashsimulation

M. Waedt, M. D’Ottavio, T. Wallmersberger, Prof. B. Kröplin (Universität Stuttgart); K. Wolf, P. Post, J. Peetz, U. Scholl (Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing) Crash-simulations play an important role in automotive companies. From the numerical results, the used materials and the design of the car body panels can be verified and evaluated with respect to the capability to absorb deformation energy. To simulate the whole design process numerically, there is a strong need to use the results from the stamping for the crash simulation. In this work, we present criteria and algorithms for the mapping and evaluation of scalar variables – e.g. sheet thickness and plastic deformation. These algorithms – used for the in-plane and the thickness direction – assure an efficient handling of the values. Finally, numerical examples show the quality of the underlying methods.
