M. Wagner, R. Müller (Ing.-Büro Dr.-Ing. R. Müller) Numerical simulations of blast resistant windows and facades will be presented and compared with test results. The focus of the presentation is the prediction of different processes of fracture and damage. The numerical model includes a new developed nonlinear material model for laminated glass, special contact definitions and a detailed mesh. Additionally some aspects of blast wave propagation and determination of structural blast loads will be mentioned.
